How to Access my.upra.org and Canvas Using Your Personal Email Instead of the Microsoft Office Account
This guide is intended for users who normally log in to the UPRA portal and Canvas using their Microsoft Office account (@upra.org) but wish to switch to their personal email (Gmail, Hotmail, Legionaries, etc.) without depending on the university Office account to log in to the portal and Canvas.
Changing the password on my.upra.org automatically updates the password on Canvas (only if your Canvas account is active).
Log in with your Microsoft Office account
Open my.upra.org and sign in using your Microsoft Office credentials (@upra.org).
At the bottom left, click on your name to display the user menu.
Click on Profile
Select “Profile” from the menu.
Verify your personal email
Make sure the personal email shown is correct — this is the one you will use to log in without the Office account.
Click on Change password
Start the password change procedure.
Enter the new password and click Submit
Type your new password and confirm by clicking “Submit”.
Tip: We recommend choosing a strong password containing uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Wait for the confirmation “Password change completed
A popup will appear confirming that the operation was successful.
Log in to the portal with your personal credentials
Return to the my.upra.org home page and log in using your personal email and the new password.
Log in to Canvas with the same credentials
Go to Canvas (https://apra.instructure.com) and click “Personal credentials” or go directly to https://apra.instructure.com/login/canvas.
Enter your personal email and new password on Canvas
Fill in the fields and click “Log in”.
You are now inside Canvas
You have successfully logged in to Canvas using your personal credentials.
